.: ABOUT THE NZKA

Our members, mostly adults, come from all walks of life. We have approximately 60 members, comprising subscribers and interested members of their own families. This includes a number of overseas members from amongst the international community of kiteflyers. Our purpose is to have fun and enjoy the hobby of kites, at the same time educating other people about the art, history, technology and practice of building and the safety of flying kites.

Frequent regional flying days are held, as well as an annual national get-together of at least three day's duration. We also publish a magazine every four months called "What's Up" to help maintain communication among our members. For further information contact the Local Rep in your area. You can find a link to the contact page in our main menu.

Enjoy your visit.
